Welcome to The Charleston Club. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of thecharlestonclub.co and your registration for classes, Open Play sessions, lessons, special events, and other services offered by The Charleston Club.
By using our website or purchasing, booking, or registering for a service, you agree to these Terms.
Services
The Charleston Club provides American Mahjong instruction, organized play, private or group experiences, special events, and related services.
Specific services, dates, times, availability, pricing, and descriptions are provided on our website and may change periodically. The current site, for example, offers three-week Beginner Bundle courses and individual Open Play sessions.
Registration and Booking
Some Charleston Club activities require advance registration and payment.
A reservation is not considered confirmed until the applicable registration process has been completed and, when required, payment has been successfully received.
Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information when making a reservation.
Pricing and Payment
Prices displayed at the time of booking are the applicable prices for that service unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes, processing fees, or other charges may be added where required and will generally be disclosed during the checkout process.
The Charleston Club reserves the right to change pricing for future classes, events, or services at any time.
Cancellations and Refunds
Because classes and events may have limited seating, registrations reserve a space that may otherwise be unavailable to another participant.
Unless a different cancellation policy is stated when booking a particular service, cancellations and requests to reschedule are subject to The Charleston Club's then-current booking and cancellation policies.
The Charleston Club reserves the right to establish different cancellation, refund, transfer, or rescheduling terms for particular classes, events, private bookings, or special programs. Any terms presented during the booking process will apply to that reservation.
If The Charleston Club cancels an event or class, participants may be offered a rescheduled date, account credit, or refund, as appropriate.
Multi-Session Courses
Some programs, including Beginner Bundle courses, consist of multiple sessions. Purchasing a multi-session program reserves your place for the course as a whole.
Unless otherwise stated, missed individual sessions do not automatically entitle the participant to a partial refund, credit, or make-up session.
Participants should review the dates of a multi-session course carefully before registering.
Event Changes
Schedules, instructors, locations, availability, and other event details may occasionally need to change.
The Charleston Club will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to registered participants using the contact information provided during registration.
Participant Conduct
The Charleston Club is intended to provide a welcoming, enjoyable, and respectful environment.
We reserve the right to refuse service or remove a participant whose behavior is disruptive, threatening, abusive, harassing, unsafe, or substantially interferes with the experience of other participants.
Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending Charleston Club activities. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Charleston Club is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Assumption of Ordinary Risk
Participation in Charleston Club activities is voluntary. Participants are responsible for determining whether they are able to safely participate in an activity.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Charleston Club is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from risks ordinarily associated with attendance or participation, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Location and Third-Party Venues
The Charleston Club currently operates at Madison Social in downtown Lee's Summit. Events may occasionally be hosted at other locations.
When an activity takes place at a third-party venue, participants may also be subject to the reasonable rules and policies of that venue.
Photography and Media
Photos or video may occasionally be taken during Charleston Club events for promotional, social media, or marketing purposes.
When practical, participants who do not wish to appear in promotional photography or video should notify The Charleston Club or the event organizer.
Website Content
All website content, including The Charleston Club name, branding, graphics, photographs, written content, designs, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to The Charleston Club unless otherwise indicated.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used commercially without appropriate authorization.
Website Availability
We strive to keep our website and online booking services available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue website functionality or services at any time.
Third-Party Services
The website may utilize or link to third-party platforms, payment processors, booking systems, social media platforms, or websites.
The Charleston Club is not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of independently operated third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Charleston Club and its owners, employees, instructors, representatives, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or participation in Charleston Club services.
